What is Aristocort?
Aristocort is a medication in the class of corticosteroids, which affects the immune system and reduces different types of inflammations in the body. Triamcinolone, an active ingredient of the drug, works by preventing the release of substances in the body, which are causing these inflammations.

Aristocort is most widely used in treatment of such conditions:
- Adrenocortical insufficiency is a disorder manifested through the inability of adrenaline glands to develop enough steroid hormones, especially cortisol.

What is the dosage of generic Aristocort?
The dosage of Aristocort in tablets depends on the severity of your condition and should not be adjusted without a prior consultation with your medical advisor. The average dose for an ordinary adult patient suffering from adrenocortical insufficiency is 4 mg to 12 mg daily. The treatment of different types of arthritis (gouty arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis) usually requires a dosage of 8 mg to 16 mg daily for adult patients. Do not stop taking Aristocort abruptly without a consultation with your medical advisor.
What are the contraindications for using generic Aristocort?
You should inform your medical advisor about your medical history and which medications you are currently taking, as there are certain contraindications to using generic Aristicort. Do not consume Aristocort if you’re allergic to inactive and active ingredients of the drug, such as triamcinolone. Moreover, this medication should not be used by patients who suffer from fungal infections. Avoid taking Aristocort if you’re also using Mifepristone, as it can lead to dangerous drug interactions. What are the adverse effects of generic Aristocort?
Some patients may experience the common adverse effects of taking Aristocort, which include headaches, agitation, nervousness, mood changes, shortness of breath and nausea. Mild adverse effects of taking Aristocort don’t require any special medical attention, but if these symptoms begin to worsen, you should notify your health care specialist without hesitation.
